Caroline has more than fifteen years of experience helping organizations establish and achieve their vision, mission, and strategic goals by thinking innovatively and delivering results. She is the Founder + Principal of CDB Strategy + Advisory Services, where she partners with organizations of all sizes to plan for their future, solve stubborn challenges, and grow. Before launching the firm, Caroline worked at the Medical University of South Carolina ($7B budget and nearly 30,000 employees) for nearly 9 years and most recently served as the Chief Strategy and External Affairs Officer. She led a team of 20 professionals and was responsible for enterprise-wide strategic planning and partnerships with global industry leaders as well as local, state, and regional stakeholders. A known leader in the strategic partnerships field, Caroline has participated in international speaking engagements, conference keynotes, panels, and webinars. Prior to her time in health care, Caroline spent nearly a decade advising Congressional, U.S. Senate, and Presidential Candidates on campaign strategy, communications, and finance. She earned an undergraduate degree in public relations and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. Caroline is a builder, problem-solver, and values-driven executive who thrives under pressure and loves taking on a challenge. She is a South Carolina native and mom of two fueled by the opportunity to make an impact through her work. Caroline loves to travel, cheer for the Gamecocks and professional women's sports, play tennis, read, paint, and spend time on the beach and with her husband, children, and large extended family.
